This morning's update:

Chucked new tyres on for quali (first session of the day) and dropped 2 secs. Bears was first up (for me, not first session on track), and had a red flag on my flyer. Bummer. Best of 1:01.22

Then Superbikes were up. Went out and just did a one-lap qualifier, Red Bull F1-style from a few years ago.... 1:00.88

Pretty fucken stoked with that!!

Woooooooohoooooo!! First bears race done and dusted. Started fourth, got into 2nd for most of the race, then got bumped back to third with a lap or two to go.

But I'd flipped the rear tyre before the race and totally forgotten to set my pressure, so had 35psi in the rear!!! Had a near-highside coming onto the straight on the very first lap, and it spooked me for the rest of the race as I couldn't figure out why I had no rear grip!!! Had a few more little slides, then just had to be gentle out of turns, especially the only left turn, onto the straight.

Bring on race 2!!

Grumble grumble grumble. Got baulked by a backmarker on the 2nd last lap, after being in 2nd place for the whole race, and finished 4th. Still awesome fun tho!!

I was too busy chatting about the 2nd bears race with the BMW guys to notice the call for the 1st Superbike race!! So I missed it. Oopsie. Never mind. Bears was always the focus.

Awesome race 1 this morning!! I was 4th then 3rd then 4th again, until the 2nd last lap when I passed 2nd and 3rd place at the same time under brakes into Crash!!! Fucken tops. Battling all race. Quickest lap on the last lap when I'd cleared the traffic. 1:00.7

Having an absolute ball!! Love love love this track!

Great Photos of the track - really show the elevation

Me tooo just need to get more consistent was 1 -1.5 sec slower Sunday than Saturday

Stuffed myself with a Cold Rear for the 1st race Sunday and missed warm up as I tried to use the blanket a bit long

then Brett (sorry about the ranting etc ....

) lapped me as I was closing in on Bruce (Preston Prez and slow old fart like myself) was then double pisses as I lost a row on top of the crap lap times

Race 1. I flipped the rear tyre just before the race, but forgot to set tyre pressures, so had 35psi in the rear. Couldn't work out why it was sliding all over the place
