just had my kitchen install cancelled so booked in for the 8th.
Who's in for any of these ones?
I just managed to get a slot for the 10th.
It's looking like reserving a garage is the way to go. We need 6+ names to get one put aside.

Speaking of V02, what hot pressure should I be looking at for a rear V02 slick?
I'll be there on the 8th (+3).
That should be enough for a garage if interested.
Plumb, Windy, Zooker let me know and I'll book one?
Marshy can we book it as tarmac talk garage?

This is what I got from Whitey when asking about them.
Hi Michael
There is a size difference in the V01 and V02
The V01 is a 190/650R17, the actual size is 185 mm wide, with a rolling diameter of 650 mm
The V02 is a 200/655R17, the actual size is 201mm wide, with a rolling diameter of 655mm
Both the VO1 and the V02 come in Soft and Medium Rears, the V02 front in a Soft and Medium and the V01 in Soft Only
All tyre compounds are the same as each other, the difference is the V01 and V02 have different carcass construction which makes them feel different to each other
Pronounced Kang-Ah not Kang-Gah
I have booked garage 41/42 under tarmac talk for tomorrow (Thursday 8th).
Me +3 and Plumb confirmed.
Zooker + missus and Windy welcome.

Stu and I are there on the 10th, Pete Frost is too. Are we welcome in the tarmac garage? hahahaha When it comes to v02 and v01, people regularly get confused in the rears.
Like was posted above, the v01 rear is the current 190 slick and the v02 rear is the current 200 slick.
When it comes to fronts the v02 is the newer version and is generally accepted as the best option.

Yep unfortunately ... 1st session, 3rd lap T8. (Right hander) Pretty sure I lost the front, a pretty slow low side, I'll check out the footage tomorrow. Was able to ride back to the pits.
Did a quick replacement of the break lever, foot peg, pulled off the break guard, and fixed up the fairings. Case savers did there job well
Luckily I had a pretty good supply of spares. Although when I get new fairing I'll prob chuck on some frame sliders.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Doesn't look bad though. The carbon frame cover came in handy too, by the look. Good thing you had lots of spares!

Sorry Simmo, was distracted watching the missus at CSS on Wed so forgot to jump back on here. Will try and catch the TT guys next time
Spent the day in green group taking it a bit slower working on sorting out my lines, and followed around a few mates to get some footage for them. Fair bit of traffic when I did have a proper go but timed a few 1:45's in there somewhere (was asked if I wanted to go to race group in session 3 so must have been doing something right ). Got the lines sorted and the V01 was great, although had a slight tear on the LHS which I put down to possible hot tear or over zealous throttle.

Had a fun day out there yesterday, once I got back on the R1. I couldn't get on with the ZX7 at all... Will bleed the brakes and do a little adjusting of bits and pieces, but think I will probably race the R1 on Nov 8th now...
Flipped my rear tyre for first time ever and I can't believe the money I have been wasting chucking them once they were stuffed on the left. Sure, it was little slidey out of turns 3 and 9, but nothing to worry me too much and now means I get an extra day out of a rear, wallet is happier for sure! Made a bit of a rookie error with the flipped rear though, after jumping back onto the R1 after the ZX7, I didn't check the rear pressure. I've never had so much bloody movement in the rear, on entry and exit, it was all over the shop, entry more so though! I was thinking I would have to add more compression damping to the front to try and settle the rear on entry. Came back on and had 42.5 PSI. Woops!
Was getting better drive onto the straights, so much so I was hitting the limiter before I normally back off for 1. First time it happened, I thought my motor was going to pop, babied it for half a lap, motor felt fine so got back on it, next lap, same again, realised what was happening. Will change rear sprocket for next day. Had a ball in 4th and 5th sessions, got back to consistent low 43s again, happy with that. Anyway, sorry for the long essay, godamn I love the track!
Top stuff Nath. I find the trick to successful flipping of rears is to flip them each day, back and forth. It evens out the wear, and you'd be amazed at just how long you'll get out of a rear!

Curious Nick if given your race pace v say average red pace if you have flipped to make through race weekend ?
For me was def "contributing" factor for my highside on turn 3
Found myself underpassing and asking too much of the tyre on litrebike no TC on exit full throttle
Was expensive and painfull exercise i dont care to repeat.
