Oh righhhhhht. The Launch Control initiation lever! I use it every race start. Don't touch it apart from that, so it wasn't front of mind.

    Soooooo....... This just happened

Couldn't sleep this morning so up early and fitted off the race glass and got rid of the left hand control gear replaced with one of Breezes controls.

    Couldn't be happier with it.

Still need to fit cilpons, motion pro throttle and finish lock-wiring but hey...

Used to make good fairings, anyway. Just stopped. Too many unreasonable people. If any TT member really wants some, and promises to be different and not to sue me, let me know.

I appreciate the efforts you are going to Luke, but really, I'll still swap you for my 04 R1 even if you don't keep modding.

In keeping with the original thread title Sooooooo this just happend.

As most of you know I had a spill at ARDC last Friday. Nicks giving me a hand with the repairs, and hiding the bike from my Mrs.She knows I had a low side, I just left out the T1 @220 part. If she saw the bike she would assume the worst.

Pic's of the bike (actually it looks worse than it is)

    Shopping list includes
    -rear sub frame
    -front race stay with intake
    - Clipons
    - GB crash protection
    - rear sets
    - fairings
    - misc bits n peices

The sub frame and stay arrived today from the UK and look the goods.

I've got Clipons and a motion pro Quick action throttle that hadn't been installed yet, and spare rear sets in the kit.

The GPS data logger took a beating, but may still function. If not I won't be replacing it any time soon there about $2500 OEM.... It's a fun app to play with but not worth that amount of coin. Tank has a couple of dings but won't effect function, the bike had no obvious fluid leaks, and apart from the listed "looks" OK

    Ahhh she was so pretty

Those new bits looks great! They're aftermarket right?

I reckon the GPS do-hicky will be fine. It just looks like the case is smashed, the PCB is totally intact.
A bit of chipping away at her and she'll be back in action. A cover over that tank too and it'll look the biz again.

Are you getting the frame checked? With the way the subframe got ripped out I guess it wouldn't hurt... might as well check swing arm whilst you're at it.

Other than that, bring it back ASAP!!!

Snapped off, not ripped out. They are pretty lightweight and not very strong. My guess is it's fine, but we will stringline and laser it to be sure.

As bad as it sounds I'm looking forward to getting stuck into the repairs. Will be another learning curve for me, and all part of the fun.
Wondering how the air box and filter stood up to it. It was moving pretty quick through the kitty litter.

When I crashed at corporate hill a while ago, there was gravel all the way up my exhaust, to the headers... I never even gave it back! Hehe

If we all pool our stocks of gravel, I reccon we could sell it back. It's $110 a tone in this current market.

I'm about 2sqm into covering the front garden of the house with Eastern Creek gravel. I reckon I'll finish the lot before I hang up the helmet for good. It's quite a nice stone.

Very nice subframe... i like the change in design from the r6 subframe mounts to the r1 subframe mounts... much better idea with planes of stress etc. More shear instead of a bending around the bolt now!! tops

Front stay on. Dash in and works! Still a tone of sensors and stuff to mount to it.
Made up a alloy platform for the battery as the OEM plastic one was goooonnnnne.
I'll need to make up a few more brackets for the batterie, and GPS gizmos and too reinforce under the seat.
Motion pro fitted ( Ta.) I was surprised at the good condition of the air filter, a new ones on order but was good enough to start her up....love that sound

    Whoohoo getting there.
