Real shame champ!
All the very best to everyone competing this weekend at the creek. Unfortunately I had a mishap on a dirt bike that has ruled me out of this one so I'll have to live thru you guys on live stream. Enjoy it guys.
Good luck everyone. I'll be shooting photos from the sidelines. I see Nick in the riders list... any other TTalk regulars competing?

I'm out. I was briefly in, but can't make it on the Friday morning, and besides its waaaaay more expensive than even WSBK, for half the number of days. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the price!

Hope it's all going well! I headed out that way for a..... client visit too. But stopped in at Dave Alderton's to get a wheel fixed, and ran out of time to get out to the Creek.
Tomorrow, hopefully

Disappointing numbers except for the 300s. Hopefully more tomorrow,
I'm not complaining because any racing is better than no racing... But today certainly didn't compare to the ASBK round a few months ago. Will give it a chance tomorrow since it was a Friday though.

Well that's day 1 complete, had some great starts so got that gremlin 99% sorted, still had some problems with edge grip and pumping on corner exit, but have some plans for that today.

Well after watching the races on Saturday for a better comparison, I still think the ASBK put on a better show for spectators. I can't speak for the experience as a competitor though, I'm sure it would've been a blast competing.
But as a spectator here's why I would bring my family to ASBK instead of FX:
Cost
ASBK: $20
FX: $30
Competition:
ASBK: More competitors, more exciting racing.
FX: Only the 300 Cup had a strong field.
Pit Entertainment
ASBK: Merchandise, Stalls, Food, Dyno etc
FX: Umm, some promo girls (good quality though)
Crowds
ASBK: Lots of people, making the place feel like an "event".
FX: Pretty much just track day regulars and some family, the car park was barely used.
Again, I'm not complaining because I'm glad to see some racing action, just a noticeable difference between the two shows.

Day two was good.
Massive thanks to Joel for all his help on Saturday; pit crew, on track coaching , ute packer lol (think he liked my steering wheel lock for the ute)
Started off a little damp but that dried out fast.
Had some good starts again, and got the bike feeling great towards the end of the weekend.
But looking forward to some more track time, with the Tarmac Talk guys.

Headed up for Saturday to watch the racing. Really felt like a club meet. Seemed to be run really well in terms of 2 min board as soon as checkered flag was shown and very fast turn over of races. Clean up from spills also looked very efficient. But lacking factory teams and a few of the bigger named privateers hurt the racing spectical.
Still have to agree with Sicko all we want is 1 series. But do we want one that shows time and again they can't financially run a series and trys to shift the burden onto clubs or one that isn't backed by MA and has a lot of bad political history. Still the stalemate continues......
Some great pics, Lee!
lee boy, it was a pleasure passing down my teachings from the boys. you rode great, and just got better throughout the day, but in the long run it was good to get the bike sorted in that weather and now next time your can rip it up. Thinking ST George for sure.
