It is just full of bumps. Right through race line. Right on the apex. T1 is worse in my opinion. Small patch and bumpy as well

How hard can it be to get right. Maybe that's why WP just leave it as is. FYI price rise down there this year as well ... 195 + garage hire

It's a fucking dogs breakfast. T5 you have to ride 2m off the apex to avoid the bumps.
I haven't been here since November St George and t1 is considerably worse. Will have to redo 5 for sure.
On the up side I'm doing similar times to the last race weekend. That's unheard of from me. Normally need some red mist. 😡🏁

It's $10 cheaper than EC. But it's a shit track and 2.5 hours away.

Oh that's right - they don't like bikes.

I think I'm gonna cry. I had such high hopes for the T1 resurface. And T5 was always fine, so it's gonna be a pain if it's now not.

$235 split two ways. But where else is there? South circuit may get a boost in popularity.

You can see the bumps in the lines from Ant's elbow & knee sliders.

Well I only wish I could have an opinion about them corners today…

First lap, coming into turn 6, the little rod that connects the break leaver to the master cylinder some how came off, leaving me with absolutely no
front break, and no choice but to ditch the bike in the kitty litter to avoid the oncoming concrete wall.

Speeeee Uwin. Bikes ok…., Im ok so apart from the waste of a ride day… all good.

Last ride I had a low side turn 9 mid corner. I Replaced the damaged break lever and checked time and time again all was ok.
Looks like in that incident that rod became a little loose and then vibrated free today.

Was my first track day yesterday and it was freaking awesome fun.... Needless to say, I'm hooked. The bumps through turn one were pretty unsettling for my newbie arse and standard suspension for the first few sessions. Can't comment on turn 5... Was never near the apex ☺️
    Bring on Feb 5th !

Yesterday after being at the track i contacted SMSP regarding the recent resurfacing and the terrible job they have done.

I just got this response, hopefully it will be rectified again before round 1.

Hi Nathan, Thanks for your message. The recent Sydney rains have really upset our annual maintenance, let alone ourselves, and unfortunately, our patrons, and we apologise for that. Yes, we are re-doing the resurfacing on one, five and 18 within the next fortnight to rectify the problem.

    Excellent!

Well done mate! Thanks for following this up

Soooooooo, the next obvious question is 'when, exactly'? St George is less than a fortnight. Plus there's this Saturday, Monday and Friday all on track (and I've booked and paid for all of them, so they better not cancel them). I'm not seeing much time to do this. If it's the same amount of work again, then it'll take probably a week to do the track-only component of the work they did that took two weeks.

I wasn't aware they'd touched T12 (once and for all, THERE IS NO TURN 18. Eastern Creek - you heard me - has TWELVE turns. Always has, always will).

Small patch about half way through the turn on line to the exit. Didn't notice much wrong with it however I only got like 12 laps in between bike issues all day.

Gets even more confusing if you watch any taxi racing, last V8 supercars at the Creek and the commentary team were using a count of 11 turns. Why can't we just all be friends!!!! :P

I thought the same thing mate. As it stands to get into the pit area you need to enter via the pit area on the south circuit the into the gate at T4. They opened the circuit after each session yesterday and had security the coordinating. The road under the tunnel is completely dug up.

I really hope they get it sorted but am not hopeful.

I love taxi racing! Yes, I thought it was kinda odd too, and clearly they were going off the fact that the track now has eleven corners, and so numbered them accordingly. Which I kinda get makes sense for the unwashed masses, who don't have a long personal history with the track. But everyone knows that turns 6 & 7 are now the one corner, to keep the numbering consistent.

Maybe from turn 6 ,where the new bit comes in ,they should name the turns rather than number them?

Hey like ive been saying at home recently. Put a jump or two out of t9, berm in t1 and a dirt section through t5. Will level the field a fair bit Hhhahahaha
