got a few idea's up my sleeve,unlike anything anyone has ever seen on a race bike (hopefully) ;-) I'm leaning more towards a wrap, but still not 100% sure which avenue i'll take

It's been a long road to recovery but I'm happy to say, I'm now back to within half a second of my pre-injury lap times!

Just in time for the race weekend at Phillip Island next week!!

Possibly the last progress update from auction to race bike....

Decided to plasti-dip the wheels red:

Next bit of race prep is time to lockwire...

First, the caliper bolts....

After flushing the coolant out with demineralised water, also drilled out the Radiator cap...

Oil filler cap...

As it's an R6, there's a dipstick to do...

Filter and sump plug...

..and last but not least, the grips!

Fitted some wets, now she's ready for for the trip down to race at Phillip Island!!

Also, mission accomplished with the bones healing!! Seems building bikes is the best medicine!!

As you could guess, it's been awesome fun building this. Hopefully the first of many!!

Let me know how the plastidip goes with changing wheel weights and if it peels off. I wanna fluro up my rims

Will do, mate. I ran it on my car rims for more than a year without issue.
Even the wheel nuts were fine coated and taken on and off a few times.
The key was letting it set/dry for a long time before using.

So true. I should start a thread of all the bullshit I encounter with mine. The simplest of things keep turning into nightmares.. Had OEM sprockets put back on, go to fit the chain and discover its too short... Thanks bikeshop apprentice for cutting 3 chain links off when swapping my tyres over!?
