Good Q. I've always replaced them with aftermarket ones, but I've also got a snapped one that I'd rather fix at this point. I tried a bodgy fix, but it didn't hold. They are a light alloy; can they be welded, or is there a better way to fix them??
So after coming off nelso's oil spill on the weekend, my fairing stay broke into half and a clean snap..
wondering if it was better to get it welded back up or buy a new one.. even the aftermarket ones are exxy.

After the original oem on snapped, I bought a Motobracket one from STG but it still gonna cost me $135 delivered. I can get them welded by Baxter's for 30 bucks..
There are also stays from china for 55 delivered but just worried about fitment issues for the ram air.
