Help with Race Control App

Ok got sick of missing the calls at Wakefield
so knocked up this App after some interests from the powers that be at StGeorge

Anyway its nearly done so would like to try it at Broadford (though since it relies on 3G GSM it may be a bit flaky there) also need to get a person who is listening to Race Control (or Race Control themselves) to press the buttons as the status updates

I've only done the Android a the moment Apple are a PITA as far as testing

So who would like to try it this weekend for 2 or 3 Races
To test you'd need an Android Phone (preferably with a GMail account configured on it as I'll just send you the app)

If it gets picked up it would have the advantage that spectators (and remote watches ie live timing) could get notifications - at the moment it pretty basic but if I can find the time this week I'll add some extra options (notifications for specific races only etc)

Buy one they're cheap ... and I can put apps on them without being driven mad ...

I've run it on my wifes iPhone so ... if you give me you iPhone Id I can provision you a copy - Need it before Thursday arvo of course (and I'll give you a copy of Gears lite for iOS as well)

To get a device ID using iTunes

1.Launch iTunes on your Mac.
2.Connect your device to your Mac.
3.In the upper-right corner, select the device.
4.In the Summary pane, click the Serial Number label under Capacity or Phone Number.
The label Serial Number changes to Identifier and displays the device ID.
5.Copy the device ID by Control-clicking the identifier and choosing Copy Identifier (UDID).
If the menu contains a Copy Serial Number menu item, repeat steps 4 and 5 again.
6.Paste the device ID in a document or an email message.

Guys I'll be "Demonstrating" this weekend at Broadford if you have an Android Phone you can get a copy by emailing RCBETA at SillyYakApp dot Com and installing the App that is sent back (you'll need to say it ok to install)

Also Plan on doing a demo at SMSP on Sunday week - who's there

not now I'll do a formal test at some point ... I'll send a list of what happening and the tester can say it did (easy for all if the many say where wrong as opposed to listing whats right) ... off to broadford in a hour so will do some more work on it for SMSP next week

New phone arrived today, lemme just set it up properly and etc and I'll give this a go as well...

btw, I might be donating my previous 'racechrono display' aka a Galaxy S if anyone is interested. It's Optus locked but if you're gonna use it for RC only it doesn't matter as RC doesn't need internet. I just need to first check if I can fit the S3 somewhere on the dash or if it's too big.
