Road or track?
I have always used DID EVR3 520 on my bikes and never had a single issue with them... then again they have always been dedicated track bikes bar one and even that one only saw like 2000km on the road.
What are the best brands/reputation of chain and sprockets?Any horror stories of any particular ones to avoid.Looking for a set for my CBR1000 (2010)

+1 for DID ERV3. They are tops! Very easy to fit too, because the rivet is hollow on the edges, making peening the link rivet a breeze. They are lighter than the equivalent EK or RK too, although a little bit more exxy.

I just use RK chains. GXW on one bike and still have the TRU on the other.
Sprockets steel last longer than alloy. I got a steel front and alloy rear. JT, AFAM etc etc. all do the same jobbie
520 evr3 in the mail cant wait...... got it from hard racing
hahaha do share... I did it on the 600RR back in the day but fmd if I remember the results, I do remember they were good.
not as much as i thought, hopefully friction will be better
I'm surprised! I guess the 525 R6 OEM isn't that heavy....
On litre-bikes (530), there's a massive difference. Like, 1.5kg including sprockets. And it's rotating mass, so it's worth more, so to speak.
