Installing cut out frame sliders made easy...Woodcraft.

As a member of many forums I seen this technique on how to install Frame sliders to your beloved fairings that require you to drill.

In a nut shell you..Set the bike on a rear stand, take the fairings off and point a laser level/pen at the center of the bolt which will be used as the attachment point for your slider. Then re-install the fairings and now you have a center mark from the laser as your drilling point”.

The only thing I brought was the laser pointer (other than sliders) as I already had a dremel and car stands.

I then attached laser pointer to car stand, I’m guessing you can use chair or something that won’t move.

Once I placed the laser pointer in the correct location I then re-installed the fairings and used the laser as my first point to drill.

How snug do these want to be? Do you have to remove your sliders and bases to take the fairings off?

On my Blade I just need to remove the Nylon blocks from the ends.

Awesome mate! Think we might need a "slider fitting day".....any excuse to have a couple of beers! Might hold off on painting the side fairings until then.

I installed mine over the weekend. One of the posts is longer than the other one and it seems retarded. I've switched them around and it makes no sense at all, it seems like they should both be the shorter type. It's an 07 cbr600rr, has anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking of just cutting down the post and bolt on the longer one, unless it's supposed to be like that..

Somewhere on the instructions in small text it will say which side is which. But yeah, the R6 ones are also weird, in that one's quite a bit longer than the other but it looks like the bike would be much better suited to equal length ones.

Just check which side is which and fit them up. Once the fairings are on, it'll look muuuuuch better!

I've had it on with the fairings after cutting them out and it seems wrong, I'll double check the instructions. I'll test the clearance somehow to see if anything really does stick out further on the long side

I dont think anyone has actually seen baddie on the honda at the creek yet .

Wonder if it will make it to the track this year?

Photos of him riding at the creek on the kwaka are very rare collectors items .
