Hello All
Id like to introduce my new Girl.
After a nana nap today,I've removed the plastics and started the "Baddie" spec put back together.
One thing did notice was the super thinner Front brake lines?????
Seems the Gen4 have issue with brake fade, so to counter this and to stay within Fx rules they put thinner brake lines.
Here's a couple pictures more to come as I go though it tomorrow.

Some nice bits there... but I don't understand the reasoning behind using thinner lines. Wouldn't that make it more prone to boiling due to having less fluid to heat up?!

Trust me its stripped and every bolt and nut will be x-rayed.
The people at Kelen Kawasaki are my friend...over all bike very clean, cleaner than the Honda was.
I like the bazazz Q/S software very nice.
It sounds great too.

I used neon yellow plasti dip spray. White base, then the plastidip, then a layer of clear coat over the top. They do fluro greens and oranges to I believe. Would be better of using a paint I reckon but I had a hard time sourcing a good flouro paint so decided to try the plastidip. Biggest pain is the way plastipdip works and removing the masking tape.

I bought the same stuff; I just haven't tried it yet. There's a whole range of fluoro colours. It's hard to get paint in fluoro.

White knight do flouro out of a rattle can if you want to buy off the shelf.
Else you can go to a paint shop and they can mix it up for ou and put it in a rattle can or in a tin. More exxy this way but the colour comes out that bit nicer.

If the rider and bike are fast enough...Well the rider anyway....Cant wait until Friday see if the Gen4 handles as good as the Honda did , got Al coming down to say hello and have a check over the bike as he built it....Customer Service from the boys from cessnock has been out standing.
Plus left the red number board on as its keeping the screen together (cracked)...New screen and Goodies have been ordered.

Just been told what it well cost to paint new fairings in that design....Lets say its almost double compared to getting Marshy to supply and paint his product.

It's pretty hard to beat SuperbikeSource in terms of price / performance for custom painted fairings!
I note that the GSXR600 K1-K3 fairing kit (http://superbikesource.com.au/products/GSX%252dR600%7B47%7D750-2001%252d03-Fibreglass-race-fairings.html) says it includes a tank cover!!!! ... Is that right Nick? Sure would save me some panel beating on the bashed up gixxer tank as I resurrect my old gal.

Dammit, sorry Rick, that's an error. Tank covers are available for most models, but not the 01-03 model. The tank covers start at the 04-05 600/750 model, and the 03-04 gixxer thou.

He did get it out of the trailer, and he even rode it a couple of times!! It looks unreal, and sounds great. He had a biiiiig grin. He can tell you more, but there's still some dialling in to do with the forks apparently. But yeah, it's fast. I was gonna do a couple of laps on it in the 2nd last session (my last), but I was having too much fun on the Ape!
And, if I'm honest, I'm actually really worried I might like it more than the Aprilia.... that doesn't seem likely, but stranger things have happened.

Yes bastard and love it...But I here I'm not the only one who send goodbye to the blade and went to another manufacturing.
Have to say after having both a Gen3 zx10r and a Blade I strongly recommend you consider a Gen4 2011+ Zx10r in the future. Straight out of the box it felt great, I guess most of the RND was done but Fk me(excuse the French) it got some horses under the bonnet.
The springs were way to soft (75kg rider) bottomed out twice..Nearly lost the front at T15 (old 9) getting a little carried away. But nothing eBay won’t fix.
One thing I have to say the Bridgestone V02 200 Profile (med) felt great . I’m now really considering running them with UK Front.
But have to say overall love it, cant wait to do it again.

Ditto with Noel. Have tried every slick on the market than I could get my hands on, most more than once and some taken off after a couple of sessions.

Great to hear you got on so well with it. I run the Ntec front & bridgey rear & love it.
I found even the US Ntec had better edge grip than the V01 and the new French ones are better again. The Bridgies were good until you got them right over, but on the edge they spun up easy and lost traction. I would have to be much gentler on the throttle when I had it cranked over when I was running them. I've heard the V02 is a big improvement over the V01, but it would interesting to see if it is as good as the new French Ntecs.

I've run a couple of V02 rears now, and they have been extremely long-lasting, and grippy all the way through the life of the tyre. That's the Medium compound though; I ran a new soft at Wakey for the FX club meet, and it was ripped up in 1 session and completely destroyed after the 2nd (short) session. Not good, although to be fair anything but the hard compound Dunlops and Pirellis, and the harder Bridgie were doing the same thing.
The Medium V02 did a race day at QR in almost 70 degree track temp, including a 17 lap race, a full day racing in cool weather at Wakey (when other tyres were tearing to bits) and all day yesterday at the Creek, and it's still got good life left (another day, probably). And that's on the Ape, that is proving to be rather hard on rears (TC and/or wheelie control are pretty hard on rears, apparently).
