It isn't always, but in this instance it is GP track. Here's the web page: http://www.sydneymotorsportpark.com.au/experience/detail/ARDC-PRIVATE-PRACTICE/15

I'm thinking of doing 2-3 days at PI instead of the EC extended circuit this year. That + the GP circuit ride days & racing ought to cut it. Might do CSS L3-4 too since that's on GP circuit and they give you loads of private track time if you're faster than your group so long as you're not a dick about it.

Yeh I'm gonna start doing Wakey more often instead.
Honestly I just think the new section is designed like shit. If they took out one of the kinks and built up a banking on the hairpin (like Simmons plains) and fixed how it joins back onto the original track (same goes for the link for south circuit) it would be nice. Right now it's clumsy with dicky cambers. It's clearly been designed for drifting. They boast it as Motard friendly (which is how they managed to kill the Motard nights at the kart track) but the tards hate it because it's too high speed, if I took my tard there I'd throw a rod out..

I suspect that many more of the ECRD dates for the second half of the year will be GP circuit. Using the full circuit allowed them to squeeze an additional 20 full paying punters in for the day (which used to be a very successful little earner for Brouggy), but that model only works if you have booked out track days! People have voted with their wallets, and there have been some of the emptiest track days recently I've seen since the monopoly began 4 or 5 years ago. The last day I was there had 60 people booked! Out of a possible 180.

You guys just need to get through it as quick as possible.. Track time is still track time.
I used to hate the new section but now after learning the right lines and the speed you can get through there I don't mind it now..

Yeah, I think they are listening albeit slowly. On the day Marshy is talking about they had a survey where you register asking if you prefer the GP or Full circuit. It was about 5-1 in favour of the GP circuit and I'm betting the votes for the full circuit were from newbs who thought bigger = better. Hope they do make more GP dates in the 2nd half of the year. The other thing is too, it just feels like the full circuit is kinda a waste for race practice. Besides not being used in any racing I find it fucks up my turn 6 entry and takes me a few sessions on GP track just to get back to normal again.
Spilly I'm bringing my new bucket racer out on Saturday you'll love it

Keep the pressure up for the GP ... if they don't sell out ... no reason not to use it.

What was supposed to be a day with expected occasional showers and early afternoon thunderstorms turned out to be a rain free day ...:amen: no :rain:
A smooth day with very minimal stoppages and there it was , another exceptionally run well ardc day
Managed to keep the new fairings in one piece . a few pbs were the called from other TT members , but not from me but on the plus side i did have a very enjoyable day and got to drive home in one piece .
James was riding very well today and when most had called it a day went out to do the 6th and final session with the girls . ( I think it was 3 riders having the track to themselves.)
way too early start ... where is everyone

Only one of the girls went out in the last session as Leanne had packed up by then. I think there was only you and Rachelle out there for the last session.

For me, it was the first time back on the bike since my wrist operation and it turned out to be a bit of a struggle. I would only manage 3 or 4 laps and would then pull in and wait for Rachelle to come around and ride with her for the rest of the session to give her some tips. I must say, it is a bit of an experience riding around at the slower pace, getting in the way of the guys that I normally buzz past. lol Sorry if I got in anyone's way, but it was worth it to see the improvement in her lines by the end of the day.
One of the funnier moments of the day was when one of the guys thought he was 'racing' against Leanne when she was riding around with Rachelle and thought that he almost 'had her'. A few of the boys had a bit of a laugh knowing that he obviously didn't know much about her riding. The next session Leanne and I went out for a bit of a play together and by the end of that session he had completely changed his mind about ever trying to race her, after we had flew past him and disappeared into the distance. I can't imagine what he must think when Sean flies past him, as he makes me feel like we're standing still when he flies past us.
I thought the day was a cracker, with very few stoppages and plenty of track time. Well done to the ARDC crew! It was really well run.
Unfortunately, I have had a sore wrist ever since, so it obviously wasn't ready for the hit out. Hopefully it will be feeling a bit better by the long weekend so I can get back out there and do it all again. It was good to catch up with everyone and thanks for making it such a great day.
