Funnily enough not the easiest part to buy. I need one for the gixxer thou forks I'm putting on and ended up having to get the full internals. Might be easier doing the same.

Thx Dan, I recall you mentioning something along these lines before. My plan is to cruise Perth wreckers this weekend and begin the rebuild. Those front fairing stays from eBay HK is a complete washout, 3 months and still no delivery , now going through eBay dispute to get my money back. I might milk the west coast for more of my favourite part ;)

question
is being a member of st George sufficient for the ARDC entry form ? ( at the top of the form it asked's for a club)
ill just pay the $160 as oppose to $130
Marshy
25-02-2014, 06:48 PM
Yes, but it will still be $160 if you aren't a member. But I'd strongly recommend becoming a member! You get a half-priced ECRD track day(worth more than the membership cost), and $30 off each ARDC day. Plus your membership card gets you into most events at the Creek for free - all the bike racing etc, everything except the V8s basically.

I just got my bike competitor membership. V8s, Powercruise, WTA included, only thing that's not is Top Gear Featival. Like you said it pays for itself with the ride day discount. I got to most car and bike events at EC so it'll save me a bundle, especially with the guest pass for my gf.
I'm aiming to do the 14th

I had a good day
I recently put on a quick shifter and in the process I converted to GP shift, the first 2 sessions were a mess I was worried about being to slow so I was pushing to hard and everything was a mess..... the last 3 sessions I sorta did my own thing and didn't worry about the others I was actually faster this way.
In the 3rd session I did a new PB 210.599
good to meet a few more also
Had a great time out on the 99 gsxr600. Starting to get some vibe back after such a long time away. Looking forward to GP tomorrow.
Nice to meet some more lads.
Where did you say you got your name patch from Rancell? That mob in QLD?

Just wondering if anyone has heard/found/has any pics that were taken at the ARDC day? They are always hard to find, and are few and far between... if anyone could help out & point me in the right direction that would be great! Especially seeing as I was pulling into the pits, then saw it was you going by me on the straight, so got back on the gas and built up some speed again.
Also, far out your R6 is handling well!! It really, really turns sharply in at the exit of the turn, which is something I always struggle with on mine.

Thanks Dan. Was a great day, like I said, for me. Still have HUGE amounts of improving to do, but I am finally making a start :)
FINALLY feeling confident on the bike!!! Yay!! Not only did I improve my PB, but i killed my first pair of knee sliders!!!!! WOOOOOHHHOOOOO.... And I mean they're dead! Might be able to remelt some of the plastic and get another day out of them Lol. So stoked, never thought that would happen to me!! Hehe

WA State championships are in May, so if they extend the contract, might look at shipping a track bike over.
