Sounds like a good deal!
FYI, the YEC head gasket at 0.45 is the gasket of choice for raising your compression without significant additional tuning changes. The stock one is 0.60.

I chuckle very loudly and quite often at your sense of humour Rancell....

Yullo, I still gave one of these for sale if anybody wants.
On another note, for anyone who wants to go YEC R6 crazy. Anthony Quinn still has 2 sets of YEC cams and valve springs for sale very cheap, or so he tells me.

Didn't I see them on FX a while back for $1,500 a set? It's hardly cheap, although they are an awesome bit of kit.

How do you work that out Nick ? Yamaha pricing, (not even overinflated Australian pricing )will set you back a minimum of $ 2 500.00 for the cams and valve springs to suit
If you buy from a reseller like Superbiketoystore the same package is $ 4 140.00.
I don't understand your definition of cheap with this comment. It's certainly contradictory to mine but each to their own i guess

To be honest, I didn't really think it through in that much detail! I stand corrected ;)

hahaha
hmmm its not so much the cams, but also the stronger springs, retainers and Ti caps you need to do it properly .. 4k is about right..... and a refresh at least ! once a year
that and the fact race cams are now illegal in anything other than Formula OZ

Or St George.
Sooooooo, that would suggest that $1,500 is well on the exxy side, and that his potential target market is tiny...... bargain opportunity??

Sorry Jamie, am I missing something here? Are you promoting them on behalf of Mr Quinn? Are you guys mates or something? In which case, I withdraw my previous statement, Your Honour, and submit to the court that the above sales proposal of $1.5k for used cams is an excellent deal, and I hereby encourage everyone to avail themselves of the limited-time opportunity.
In related news, I have a virtually new set of JSBK (Japan Superbike Spec) HRC cams for a CBR1000RR 08+ for sale, and I'd be happy with $500. They were run up on a dyno a few times only, and have never actually been raced with. I have a photo somewhere, which I'll dig out later.

I think Jamie's been on the energy supplements. He's so wired he's showing torque wrenches who's boss today ;)

I hadn't touched that sprocket carrier since I fitted it over a year ago. I was lucky when I walked into the garage and stepped on the nut after a session realising it was mine. Scares me the most that it could just decide to snap off.

You know i've given this some thought overnight Nick, and i think you should probably buy all 3 sets off this Anthony Quinn dude now that you're running such a high spec and demanding motor.
You never know when things might go pop......
I can track his number down if you like....:panda::boink:
