Seeing as Fatty O'Barrel has pulled the rug out from my track days for a bit, I'm going budget racing. Figured I can practice my starts so when I start racing I can do a Jorge. Hit the front off the start and then hold everyone up. Though most likely it wont be skilled blocking it will be "FARK what line will he take next".

Weather is predicted mostly sunny for thursday so as long as its not raining I'll be there.

So did the bike night. Not as much bang for your buck as the track but fun just the same. Disappointed it didn't run until 10 as advertised but not many bikes by 8pm so last run was at 9.15. 8 runs total. Best time 10.377 Best reaction time 0.029 Highest speed 228.4 kph. Went against my own advice and did some burnouts. Not as messy as I expected after previously popping a tyre once on (a private road):suspicious: Thought I had some good vid before sunset but sompthing whent haywire with the cam so only have last 4 runs. Had prety good take offs cept for one you can see in the vid. Front came straight up. I start with both feet on the ground so couldn't grab the brake. Bit messy. Ended up backing right off on that one and still got 11.3. All other runs under 10.7.
last 4 runs edited all together below.

Looks like the burnouts were the best bit! Love the third one in that vid ;)

Yeah they aren't bad. Couldn't help myself. I had the cam mounted on the case slider gear side facing backwards for one pass when it was daylight. I was doing it just for you and smoked it big time. Couldn't wait to get home and see it but for some reason the first 4 vids didn't write to the card. :frusty:

I have booked in for the 12th. This is my best/only chance to stay in front of Marshy flag to flag. Are you in Marshy or just too frightened of my awesome clutch control? ??

Seemed at first there was going to be a good turn out then all of a sudden everyone left:ohwell: I was cheering a bit thinking faster turn around therefore more runs but around 8pm I heard the marshaling dude mutter to someone we should be out of here by 9.30. He was almost spot on.

Looks like they'd only go to 10 if there were long delays or bigger fields.I was happy to get six runs in.Just like ride days and racing its easy to see how addictive it could be chasing 10ths.

LOL for sure that's why I did some burnouts and lifted the front straight off the line. I was chasing 9s.

I'm gonna try and make it, I've got my bike pulled apart ATM, but I should have it ready to race again by then

Had another few runs last night. Not many bikes.
I'd done 6 passes by eight o clock.Best time of 10.556 :whoo: 4 tenths better than last time.Think a quick turn throttle thingy and a quick shifter will give me a couple of tenths.

Nah that's fast enough. You don't need all that other gear. Can't have you beating me.:fencing:

 Ha!
The tenths get harder to come by from here.I was happy just to have bettered my best time from the other meet but I'm trying to convince myself a 9 is doable.Something to aim for anyways.Lot of trouble keeping the front wheel down as the track was wickedly sticky.
Think the next one is in Feb??

Nice burnout :flame: They had the bikes grouped up last night which they haven't done at the last few. All the Harleys off on there own little noisy lane , 1000s in another and busas in another.Did you head off when it started raining after about the 5th run?
