That's the plan Nick. Bike ready to go, trailer in driveway ready to go!
Let's hope work and baby won't be an issue.

But really looking forward to a day at the creek with the boys [emoji1303]

What happened??

Bloody shift star broke. Happened twice on the old bike, first issue I've had with this one, its in 5th so I think replacing it should do the trick. Want to test it Fri & Sun as there is no way I am taking it to QLD for it to happen again!

Yeh it's a bit of a pain in the arse but I was thinking I might take a spare. If the selector rod is bent at all I am stuffed though.

Shiiiit! Again?!!
Other than your foot, is anything else common from the setup.... rearsets?

Rearsets are the same, but to be fair the bike is 5 years old, just wasn't used much until I got it late last year. Maybe its because of the autoblipper? Clearly I have no mechanical sympathy!

Yeah, regardless of age tho, I don't think shift stars are a common thing to go.
if you've done three with the same rearsets and foot I'd be looking at the setup more closely..?

Is the quickshifter mounted at 90 degrees thru the knuckle to the shaft ?

Wolfie57
19-06-2017, 06:17 PM
Nah first time with this bike, it only really did it once with the old bike, as we fixed it and it did it again because the selector rod was slightly bent.

Yep its at 90 degrees as I use road shift, the only diff with this bike is the autoblipper.

That's my first thought too. Uneven pressure.

I'll double check it, but its done some serious km's on the track since I've had it so I would have thought it would have gone much earlier if that was the case....

Not that anyone cares, but I'm can't make it out there because I'm still waiting on gear and fairings to arrive, plus I need a bit of diagnostics to resolve a small issue....
