Nah, me no money or time right now. Still have to bring my debt down a bit. Plus I'm a little daunted about taking it all apart.

Question - the new to me bike I will bring has a Dunlop NTEC rear and Bridgestone R10 type 3 front, should I be concerned? I am used to pirellis.
Binksy
14-08-2016, 05:50 PM
Should be right. R10 fronts are good. I've run dunlop rear bridgestone front and the other way around. Really didn't make a big difference unless i guess your doing crazy times
dadat178
14-08-2016, 06:01 PM
Thanks, there's zero danger of me doing crazy times.

How many does it need?
Also, my best time from last weeks track day on a new bike after 3 years off a bike was 1.51, I'll obviously improve a lot (1.45 pb), but would I be an inconvenience in red or at one of these practice days? I'm consistent enough, just slow...

You need a senior national race licence to attend a private practice day.
Jashdown
16-08-2016, 12:12 PM
Impossible to get a license sorted in two days? I've had one previously, if that makes any difference. Not sure whats involved in arranging it, or if i have to actually have a hard copy of the license to do the PP day

+1 for the track walk!! Killed my old ankle injury but it was REALLY insightful looking at hills and cambers etc. ACE!!
I had an amazing day, PB for the new bike after Rob from Wellsprung worked his magic and had it absolutely cranking!!
Thanks for that Rob and to all the boys for the banter!

It was just us that decided to go around, it wasn't a formally organised thing.
Just need to tell someone from ARDC that you're going and head out.
Took us about an hour and we stopped for a while at each corner. :thumb:

Trophy cabinet?... :pound:
Nah, might need to re-spring the rear. The spring is compressed too much to get the SAG figure so I'm missing out on some edge grip.

So when you're wobbling around in the morning doing 46's and Allerton is out there trying to learn your lines, I sometimes just let him past. I don't need him knowing my braking markers for next time we grid up together.
