ASBK FINAL ROUND STREAMED LIVE PLUS EXTENDED 7MATE SHOW!
3 August, 2016

The 2016 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli is excited to announce that the final round of the ASBK, due to be held at Winton Raceway, will officially be streamed live on Sunday October 2nd.

Working with the ASBK TV production partner – Power Productions, a global audience will be able to share in the ASBK action from Australia’s leading riders. The ASBK live streaming debut will be available online through the hosting website – www.asbk.com.au.

Streaming will begin from Sunday morning allowing race fans both trackside and from around the world to follow the full-day’s action. Revel in the excitement with features from the ASBK series commentator team, guest appearances from our ASBK ambassadors, and not to mention every race will be LIVE!

Motorcycling Australia’s acting CEO Peter Doyle described the live streaming investment as a great drive to develop the series and an excellent way to capture those final championship moments from where ever you are.

“We are committed to continuing to improve and develop the ASBK series here in Australia and this is just another step forward for the series, competitors and partners,” explained Peter.

“Not only are we excited about this opportunity but it provides riders and teams, from those factory supported, all the way through to privateers the opportunity to showcase their talent, and allows the ASBK supporters to tune in from anywhere in world.

“Having the final round streamed live couldn’t be a better way to finish off a strong season of racing and capture the developing strength of Aussie talent,” he concluded.

If live streaming wasn't enough, fans will be thrilled to know that the 7mate broadcast after the final round will now be an extended two-hour production special - highlighting all the thrills and spills of the grand finale of ASBK.

The lengthened 7mate program means that all classes will feature allowing more free-to-air viewers to park themselves on the couch and catch all the nail biting ASBK action.

It can also be confirmed that along with the two-hour long broadcast, 7mate will also be replaying every round, beginning with Round 1 at Phillip Island from August 23 at 9:00am, to give fans another opportunity to relive the championship, and will conclude with Round 5 in anticipation for the two-hour finale special.
