Is it just me, or has there not been a good build thread on here lately??
I'll try to fix that. I'm building a bike up from scratch..... it started with a frame, then I got an engine for it, and I've gone on from there. Currently it's had a few bits added - frame and swingarm covers, swingarm, forks, triples, wheels, and a few of the engine bits fitted, as it was still partially apart from being rebuilt.

It's not what you know ;)
It was missing a few bits. It's just been refreshed, but the job had been started by one person and then finished by another. So the first bits removed (side covers, starter gear, sensors etc) were not included, which put it in the 'too hard' basket. The hard work was done though! I just supplied the missing bits and reassembled.

Finally did a tiny amount of work on this build.... Changed the rear spring for a much heavier one, to suit the new owner.

More progress. It looks chaotic, but a lot of the detail stuff underneath is done, like the wiring and the zorst.

Chain, sprockets, and OEM rearsets (to save time, although I did spend some time switching it to race shift). Race ones supplied separately.
Rear brake fitted - I'm getting rid of the ABS.

Looking great mate! You mean all those bits spread around the garage are condensing into one motorcycle now?!

Those were from a guy on a forum overseas. They are Italian, I believe, but don't know the brand.

Looking good!
Hows the front wheel speed sensor mounted on the 13? Thinking I'll need to tap a thread to mine. Can that be done? Safely ?

Yes, I've done it before. It's a shit job (time consuming), but easy enough with the fork out and upside down

Ti mid-pipe and Akra can fitted. Had to drain a non-abs tank, and change over the fuel pump and extra fittings to a tank with room for the abs unit. Fitted the new tank. Threw on some old fairings at 5am (it has brand new ones here in a box)and it headed out to the Creek today.

More work done tonight (just finished now), getting it ready for Friday at ARDC. Fitted a cool cf zorst hanger, to replace the passenger pegs. And fitted fairings! It just needs rearsets fitted, which I can't find but will get for Friday.
