Going to do a couple of shake sessions
Had to weld up a cracked tank mount the other day and after she went together ... it would start ... turn out to the very shonky connector to the RH switch block was enabling the Kill switch but now paranoid about the whole thing pressure is on in Bears F5
1 412 Linden Roth C Ducati 696
2 411 Scott Brown C Ducati 900
Can't afford a DNF or anything... need to win 2 / 4 F5 races against a bike with +200cc and 10-20% more HP - wish we were on the EXTENDED track

Pretty hot now. Didn't even miss a session this morning, as by 9:15 it was dry enough for slicks (and SU aren't dickheads about it being dry for a month before they allow slicks, unlike the previous mob). Top day so far, except the heat.

Quick question, what tyres were running today? and how did they wear?

I had a soft front dunlop and a hard rear dunlop.... which is exactly the opposite of the proper compounds for the heat! The bike was fitted with them, and I didn't get around to changing them. They had beautifully even, light wear, despite the track temp, but lacked outright grip. Normally I'd run a hard front dunlop and a Bridgestone V02 Medium rear.

Cheers, haven't try the dunlops yet, tossing up on a sc1 or sc2 for the front on the weekend, im running the vo2 rear

SC2s will still be fine, particularly on a litre-bike. They work in a pretty wide range. Just like the 302 Dunlop, which I'm running. They work in high heat down to winter at the Creek (but not winter at Wakey).

No, no rain. If I've sacrificed all these goats for nothing, I'm going to be annoyed.

It's all good I'm buying some "road tyres" as wets (Clubman class - must be Road Legal) so it'll be Dry As

I just got some wets from my tyre sponsor Baggers Seconds. They say if they've come from a fast bike you inherit some of that speed.:first:

That makes sense. Anyone got Marquez's number? Actually, westy seems to go good in the wet.
If anyone needs a set of wets, I have some bridgestones. Used for 1 race at Wakefield about 6 weeks ago. Prior to that they were new.
