I had one of these exact ones for years, until it sadly got pancaked at Turn 1 a couple of years ago. In fact that was my first ever proper lap timer, and it cost me $900 about 6 or 7 years ago. It's a terrific little unit but it's OLD now! That page you linked to was last updated in 2010. It would want to be fairly cheap.

It's reliable and easy to use, but the software is very Italian and not that intuitive. Once you get the hang of it, it's fine. It even has bluetooth, back when bluetooth was pretty new, so no cables to download data to the computer. A lot of current fancy units STILL don't have that!

Don't worry about the water temp stuff - it's too hard to fit, and then once it is fitted, for me at least, it didn't work properly.

I'd recommend it, if it's cheap enough. Otherwise an XT Racing unit or an AIM Solo would be my picks.

Cheers Marshy. What would you consider cheap for this unit? The one I'm looking at getting is $400

New? It's barely ok at that price, but for my money I'd be getting something more modern. I haven't tried the lean angle jobbie, but I hear they are good. The AIM would get my money right now.
